Currently, agriculture is facing the reduction of cultivated land area and the increasing tightness of water resource constraints. Solving the issues related to agriculture, rural areas, and rural people and promoting the increase of farmers' income are easier said than done. Doing a good job in soil testing and formulated fertilization and improving the level of scientific fertilization can not only ensure stable yield increase, reduce costs and increase efficiency, and improve the quality of agricultural products, but also protect the ecological environment and promote the sustainable development of agriculture!
The benefits of soil testing and formulated fertilization are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
      I. Increase crop yield
There are three forms in which soil testing and formulated fertilization can increase crop yield:
① Yield increase through fertilizer adjustment: Without increasing the investment in chemical fertilizers, adjust the proportion of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and micronutrient fertilizers in chemical fertilizers, correct the partial application of fertilizers, and improve the crop yield.
② Yield increase with reduced fertilizer application: For blind investment in fertilizers, where high yield is pursued only by applying more fertilizers and the economic efficiency of fertilization is low, reducing the amount of fertilizers can still ensure the yield level and even increase the yield.
③ Yield increase with increased fertilizer application: For fields where the amount of chemical fertilizers applied is small or only one nutrient fertilizer is applied, and the crop yield has not reached the fertilization point for maximum profit, or where the minimum nutrient in the soil has become a limiting factor for increasing the crop yield, appropriately increasing the amount of fertilizers or applying a certain nutrient element fertilizer can significantly increase the crop yield.
      II. Improve soil fertility
Soil fertility is the comprehensive ability to provide various nutrient elements required by crops. Formulated fertilization can cultivate soil fertility and maintain the continuous productivity of the soil. Applying trace elements in combination can eliminate soil obstacle factors and overcome physiological diseases. For example, problems such as "flowering without fruiting" in rapeseed due to boron deficiency, "buds without flowering" in cotton due to boron deficiency, stunted seedlings in rice due to zinc deficiency, white and mottled seedlings in corn due to zinc deficiency, and yellowing and withering of winter wheat seedlings due to molybdenum deficiency, all of which are caused by the imbalance of soil nutrients, can be solved through soil testing and formulated fertilization.
      III. Improve product quality
Conducting formulated fertilization according to the soil's ability to supply nutrients and the crop's nutrient requirements can not only significantly increase the crop yield but also obviously improve the product quality. Soil testing and formulated fertilization can increase the mineral content in food; increase the content of vitamin C, soluble sugars and other nutrients in vegetables and fruits; improve the lint percentage, fiber length and boll weight of cotton, and reduce the shedding of buds and bolls.
IV. Improve the utilization efficiency of resources
Generally, for the chemical fertilizers we apply, the utilization rate of nitrogen fertilizers in the current season is 30%-45%, the utilization rate of phosphorus fertilizers is only 20%-30%, and the utilization rate of potassium fertilizers is the highest, but only about 50%. The remaining part is lost through volatilization, leaching, fixation, etc. Except for some inevitable factors, these losses are largely related to the unreasonable application of fertilizers. According to the nutrient requirements of different crops, supplementing what is lacking and supplementing the appropriate amount according to the degree of deficiency can better improve the utilization efficiency of fertilizers.
     V. Protect the environment
When chemical nitrogen fertilizers are lost into nature, after a series of chemical changes, toxic compounds with carcinogenic properties will be produced. Moreover, due to the unreasonable application of fertilizers and the lack of trace elements, the growth of crops is affected, resulting in a decrease in the ability of crops to resist diseases and pests. As a result, a large amount of pesticides have to be applied, causing environmental pollution and ecological damage, which greatly affects human health. However, through the soil testing and formulated fertilization technology, the loss of chemical fertilizer resources can be minimized, and the chance of environmental pollution can be reduced.
VI. Protect the interests of farmers
The promotion and application of the soil testing and formulated fertilization technology is conducive to further stabilizing and standardizing the agricultural materials market, and can effectively curb the occurrence of the phenomenon of fake and inferior fertilizers harming farmers.

Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. is a national high-tech enterprise and a demonstration and designated enterprise for soil testing and formulated fertilization by the Ministry of Agriculture. Over the past 20 years, it has been committed to doing only one thing: Based on soil testing and formulated fertilization, it produces medium-concentration, full-nutrient and multi-functional "ideal complete fertilizers", making due contributions as an enterprise to the goal of achieving zero growth of chemical fertilizers in 2020 proposed by the state.
