Experience the charm of Yishizhuang while searching for the most beautiful citrus orchard

"You must remember the best scene of the year, when oranges are yellow and tangerines are green." As it is the season when citrus fruits are ripe, I participated in the whole process of the activity "Searching for the Most Beautiful Citrus Orchard" planned and implemented by Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends in Hunan. Since this activity was launched on July 25th, it has been over a month so far. Under the leadership of General Manager Zhou of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends, one after another "the most beautiful citrus orchards" spread across Shimen have stood out! Many vivid orange farmers have "emerged" in this activity. I roughly counted that since the launch of the activity, about 1,500 person-times have gone to the countryside to visit orange farmers in the whole county, and more than 80 of the most beautiful citrus orchards have been found. More than 40 soil samples have been taken for orange farmers, and 15 on-site observation meetings of various sizes have been held so far. Today, I want to say, "Yishizhuang has infinite charm in Shimen, and the future of Yishizhuang will be even brighter!"

"A gold cup or a silver cup is not as good as the good reputation of the common people. No matter how good something is claimed to be, it's not as good as being praised by the common people!" Over the past month, together with General Manager Zhou of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends in Hunan, I have designated Group 1 of Longfeng Community as the demonstration orchard for the activity of "Searching for the Most Beautiful Citrus Orchard" in the Shimen area. The reason for choosing this place as the demonstration site for the whole county is that the 200 mu of citrus here have been applied with Yishizhuang's formulated citrus fertilizer for four consecutive years. For four years, this place has always been the demonstration orchard of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends. What's most prideful is that there has been no phenomenon of alternate bearing of citrus fruits in these four years. The 200 mu of citrus here have been the picking base for foreign trade raw material fruits and the county's gift citrus every year!

To talk about what makes this demonstration orchard so good, of course, Wang Yan, the store manager of the Longfeng store of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends, has the most say. She told me, "Four years ago, this citrus orchard mainly used high-nutrient compound fertilizers. The phenomenon of alternate bearing of citrus fruits here was very serious. Since it is a mountainous citrus orchard, the nutrient balance was poor, and the phenomenon of yellow leaves on citrus trees was widespread. Under the technical guidance of General Manager Zhou of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends, we tried to promote Yishizhuang's formulated citrus fertilizer. My feeling is that since we changed from using high-nutrient general compound fertilizers to the all-nutrient Yishizhuang's formulated citrus fertilizer, the citrus trees have been growing better and better year by year. There are both shoots and fruits, with a balanced nutrition. The fruits are evenly sized and moderate in size, and the flavor of the fruits is rich. The selling price every year is the highest in the entire Longfeng Horticultural Farm. The average price reached 1.2 yuan per jin the year before last, and the average price last year was also above 1 yuan per jin. This year, the price for advance orders while the fruits are still on the trees is above 1.2 yuan per jin. Every year, we ask the orange farmers to apply 5 to 6 jin of Yishizhuang's formulated citrus fertilizer to each tree, and it is generally applied by opening trenches half a month after the fruits are harvested from the trees!"
Recently, many orange farmers who came to observe this demonstration orchard on site have given a thumbs-up. Some orange farmers exclaimed, "This citrus orchard is really amazing. My citrus orchard has a lean year this year, but here there are abundant fruits. It seems that the fertilizer effect of Yishizhuang has played a great role!"

Zaoshi is a major citrus-producing town in Shimen. However, in the past few years, this town has always been at a disadvantage in the promotion of Yishizhuang in Shimen. The reason is simple. We didn't find a good partner or we were just waiting for a better one. Since Sister Zhao Lachun from the Agricultural Technology Center of Zaoshi became a strategic partner of Yishizhuang of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends, the fate of Yishizhuang has changed! Since the launch of the activity, she has gone to the citrus orchards every day, leaving early in the morning and coming back late at night. With her professional dedication of excelling through diligence, she has won the strong support of the leaders and colleagues in the Agricultural Technology Center of Zaoshi. With her solid and hardworking attitude towards work, she has gained high recognition from the vast number of orange farmers.

"Where there is a will, there is a way..." Sister Zhao's painstaking efforts have been rewarded with the enthusiastic response of the orange farmers. On August 15th and 16th, for two consecutive days, Sister Zhao successively brought 120 orange farmer friends from Zaoshi Town, which is 20 li away from Shimen County Town, to the headquarters of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends. First, they listened to General Manager Zhou's sharing about Yishizhuang, and then they went to the Yishizhuang demonstration orchard in Longfeng for on-site observation. On August 15th, it rained cats and dogs, but it didn't dampen everyone's enthusiasm for personally observing the excellent performance of Yishizhuang at the demonstration site. After the observation, Sister Zhao evaluated Yishizhuang in this way. She said, "Yishizhuang is a good fertilizer. This fertilizer has solved the technical problem of blind fertilization in citrus orchards. Whether it's in our Zaoshi or at the Longfeng site, wherever Yishizhuang has been used, the trees are healthier, the leaves are darker green, and the fruits are more beautiful!" Sister Zhao also told me that the activity of "Searching for the Most Beautiful Citrus Orchard" by Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends is worth promoting in depth. She said that she is almost becoming a fan of Yishizhuang now! It's not just Sister Zhao. There are countless partners like Lao Cao in Mengquan and Xiao Tang in Baiyun. The effect of Yishizhuang can be simply described with one word: "good". Uncle Chen is a loyal user who uses Yishizhuang to cultivate "good citrus"!
His name is Chen Wenqing. He is over seventy years old and in very good health. I call him "Uncle Chen". Since the first day when Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends promoted Yishizhuang, Uncle Chen has become friends with Yishizhuang. He has a total of 50 mu of citrus orchards and is a well-known large-scale orange grower in the neighborhood. His understanding of Yishizhuang has been gradually improved. In 2011, he tried to use Yishizhuang on some of the trees in spring. He told General Manager Zhou that "the effect is okay". The year before last, under the personal guidance of General Manager Zhou, he used Yishizhuang throughout the whole orchard. He told General Manager Zhou truthfully, "The effect of this Yishizhuang citrus fertilizer is really good. My greatest feeling is that the fruits are redder in color and sweeter in taste. In a word, the quality has been improved, and the price of the citrus has also increased accordingly!"

This year, he has applied Yishizhuang's formulated citrus fertilizer to the entire orchard. Uncle Chen, who has tasted the benefits, has used a full 6 jin of the fertilizer for each tree. At a technical sharing meeting of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends, he simply said one word: "good"! What an amazing Uncle Chen! Last year, the average price of the navel oranges in his orchard reached 2.5 yuan per jin, and the price of the citrus also reached 1 yuan per jin. His income from citrus reached 520,000 yuan, and he has truly made a fortune from growing citrus.

To be honest, currently, the popularization and application of Yishizhuang in Shimen still lags far behind that in citrus-producing areas like Nanfeng. However, I have an even greater dream in my heart. That dream is to enable more people like Uncle Chen in Shimen and even in the northwestern part of Hunan Province to use Yishizhuang and use it well! With the open and practical promotion and sales platform of Shimen Orange Farmers' Friends, the strong support from the county's agricultural technology system, the enthusiastic participation of all partners, and the frequent praises from people like Uncle Chen saying "good", I have no reason not to promote Yishizhuang well!
