【Market Dynamics】Yishizhuang Joins Hands with Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center to Create a New Benchmark for Yield and Efficiency Enhancement via Variety + Fertilizer Model

On July 7th, the acceptance inspection of the new formula of special fertilizer—developed by Hubei Yishizhuang for specific early rice varieties of Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center—was conducted in the experimental demonstration field in Anxiang County, Changde, Hunan. Field yield measurement data showed that the demonstration plot planted 210 mu of the "Zhongke Fa Early Japonica No.1" variety. The on-site actual harvesting and yield measurement indicated an average yield of 592.3 kg per mu, with a net income of 500 yuan per mu. It is expected to achieve the goal of a net income of 1,000 yuan per mu for double cropping. The new formula of special fertilizer applied in this demonstration was jointly developed by Yishizhuang and Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center, tailored to the fertilizer requirement characteristics of the local main promoted rice varieties. This formula innovatively adopts the "Three-Fix" principle:

Targeted Nutrition

It formulates the fertilizer precisely according to the nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium nutrient requirements of rice at different growth stages, and strengthens the synergistic effect of medium and trace elements such as silicon and zinc.

Quantitative Release

It adopts the quick-acting and controlled-release composite technology to ensure the stable supply of nutrients during the critical growth period of rice.

Targeted Improvement

It contains organic matter and soil conditioners to improve soil quality, enhance soil fertility, and thus alleviate soil heavy metal damage.

An expert from Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center stated, "The special fertilizer is highly compatible with the characteristics of the rice variety, effectively stimulating the yield potential."

Demonstration farmers reported that after using the new formula, the rice grew evenly without fertilizer deficiency in the later stage, with large panicles, more grains, and plump kernels, reaching the ideal state of "green leaves and yellow grains". A technical person in charge of Yishizhuang introduced that this formula still achieved a significant yield increase while reducing the amount of base fertilizer by 5.66%, truly realizing "fertilizer control and efficiency enhancement". The demonstration scale will be expanded for further verification in the future.
