【Focus】Xiyangyang Bio-organic Fertilizer vs Chicken Manure

Nowadays, people are paying more and more attention to the application of organic fertilizers due to the problem of soil infertility. However, the phenomenon of blind application of organic fertilizers has gradually become common. The direct application of livestock and poultry manure that has not been fully fermented to the fields is likely to cause many problems such as seedling and root burning, salinization of the soil in the greenhouse, induction of various rhizosphere and viral diseases, excessive heavy metals, and hormone residues. At present, there are still many greenhouse growers who use chicken manure as a supplement to organic fertilizers. In this regard, we conducted a comparative experiment on the application of pure plant-based Xiyangyang bio-organic fertilizer and chicken manure in the fields of Boss Wang and Boss Yao, large greenhouse vegetable growers in Libu Town, Jingzhou City, Hubei Province. Experimental Plan

Time of applying base fertilizer: January 3, 2017

Plan 1: Apply 400 kg of Xiyangyang bio-organic fertilizer and 25 kg of compound fertilizer per mu as base fertilizer.

Plan 2: Apply 500 - 1000 kg of chicken manure and 25 kg of compound fertilizer per mu as base fertilizer.
Effect Observation

Time: April 15, 2017

For the greenhouse cucumbers with Xiyangyang bio-organic fertilizer applied, the plants grow well, with many, dark green and thick leaves, and the fruits are evenly distributed.

For the greenhouse cucumbers with chicken manure applied, the leaves of the plants show wilting and yellowing in large areas, and the flowers and fruits fall off due to the inability to absorb nutrients normally, and the plants lodge.

Experimental Conclusion

The greenhouse cucumbers with chicken manure applied all lodged, resulting in a total crop failure. The greenhouse cucumbers with Xiyangyang bio-organic fertilizer applied grow well, with increased yield and quality.
