World Selenium Capital Welcomes Distinguished Guests, Formula Fertilization Increases Benefits

On May 26th, the "21st China Potato Conference and World Selenium Capital (Enshi) Potato Expo and Trade Fair" grandly opened in Enshi Prefecture. More than 2,000 representatives including leaders, experts, purchasers and production enterprises from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and over 20 provinces and cities across the country participated in the conference. The conference was jointly hosted by the Potato Professional Committee of the Crop Science Society of China, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Hubei Province and the Enshi Prefecture Government.

The vegetable base in Sifangdong Village, Tuanbao Town, Lichuan City, Enshi Prefecture, Hubei Province, as a standardized potato planting demonstration base, became one of the on-site observation points of this conference. A core potato demonstration base of 1,500 mu has been established in Sifangdong Village, radiating and driving more than 4,500 mu in the surrounding areas. The base has formed two highlights at present. The first is to adopt the latest early warning and prevention and control system for potato late blight in accordance with the requirements of "four wholes" (whole line, full film mulching, full clean cultivation, and full plant protection) to build a first-class core model of green prevention and control of potato late blight in the country. The second is to establish a core test area aiming at formula fertilization and reducing fertilizer and increasing efficiency according to the requirements of the "Action Plan for Zero Growth of Fertilizer Use by 2020" issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of the People's Republic of China.
