On October 30, at the 2025 Hubei Provincial On-site Exchange Conference on Comprehensive Territorial Land Consolidation, the High-quality Orchard Project in Dongshan Village, Yaquerling Town, Yiling District participated by Hubei Yishizhuang Company was showcased as an advanced model and received high praise during the key on-site inspection.

During the observation tour, the participants conducted an on-site inspection of the base and orchard construction, and tasted seasonal fresh fruits such as Newhall navel oranges and Ehime jelly oranges. They spoke highly of the remarkable achievements in the renovation and improvement of the orchard park, and unanimously agreed that this model boasts great demonstration value and can be replicated and promoted in more regions.

As a provincial-level land consolidation project launched in 2024, the project is led and implemented by Yishizhuang Company and its affiliated Yipin Gong Agricultural Professional Cooperative. Following the principle of suiting land use to local conditions for grain farming, cultivation and cash crop planting, the project has invested over 20 million yuan, newly adding 468 mu of cultivated land and developing 3,600 mu of high-quality orchards.Through systematic remediation, the former three-loss land that suffered water, soil and nutrient runoff has been transformed into three-conservation farmland capable of retaining water, soil and fertilizers, solidifying both cultivated land quality and industrial foundations in a coordinated manner.

The project adopts large-scale land transfer and centralized operation, forming a linkage model of Company + Cooperative + Village Collective + Farmers. It has achieved full coverage of integrated water and fertilizer application, IoT monitoring, and green pest prevention and control. Meanwhile, it boldly explores orchard-grain intercropping, planting dry rice, corn, soybeans and other food crops interspersed in citrus orchards, effectively boosting the comprehensive land output efficiency.
This model has successfully driven more than 800 households in five surrounding villages to carry out variety improvement plus orchard-grain intercropping. It realizes a diversified win-win situation featuring increased grain output, higher farmers’ income, improved orchard benefits and growing collective revenue, providing a successful model for comprehensive land consolidation and integrated industrial development across the province.
