On August 19th, the "2025 On-Site Observation and Training Session for Highland Vegetables" was grandly held in Changyang, Hubei. Relevant leaders from the National Agricultural Technology Extension and Service Center, Hubei Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and other departments attended the session for guidance. Experts and vegetable technology promotion personnel from 13 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) across the country participated in the session for exchange. As a co-organizer, Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. jointly took part in this event.

During the session, the participants focused on observing the demonstration bases for variety selection, scientific fertilization and facility-based production of Changyang highland vegetables, and paid special visits to the demonstration base of Yishizhuang's controlled-release special fertilizer for vegetables at Jiangjun'ao Farm. Huang Jinming, an agricultural chemistry technician, gave a detailed on-site explanation of the one-time simplified application technology of "controlled-release special fertilizer for vegetables + bio-organic fertilizer" applied to tomatoes. This technology has achieved comprehensive benefits: a 10% reduction in pure chemical fertilizer application per mu, a 5%-10% increase in unit yield, saving 2 laborers for topdressing, and a 5% increase in the rate of high-quality vegetables.

The farm owner shared that with Yishizhuang's fertilization plan, labor and costs are saved, the quality of vegetables is better, and the economic value is higher. Chairman Liu Zufeng further introduced that Yishizhuang's controlled-release fertilizer for fruits and vegetables has been widely promoted and applied in Changyang. In the future, the company will accelerate the replication and promotion of this technology model to more vegetable-producing areas across the country.

At the session, Li Baoju, a researcher from the Institute of Vegetables and Flowers of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Zhu Fengjuan, a senior agronomist from the Cash Crop Research Institute of Hubei Academy of Agricultural Sciences, respectively gave special reports on highland vegetable topics. Deng Tianming, Director of Yishizhuang's Agricultural Chemistry Department, gave a detailed introduction to the precise and balanced fertilization technology for vegetables. Focusing on the core of "cost reduction and efficiency improvement", he clearly explained the dual advantages of this technology: while reducing chemical fertilizer usage and saving costs, it can also significantly improve the yield and quality of vegetables.

This session has set a benchmark for the green and efficient development of the highland vegetable industry and built broad consensus. All parties look forward to taking Changyang's successful experience as a model, accelerating the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and jointly promoting the national highland vegetable industry to enter a new stage of high-quality development.
