[Focus] Replacing Chemical Fertilizers with Organic Fertilizers for Fruits, Vegetables and Tea: Hubei Yishizhuang Achieves Remarkable Results

In order to implement the spirit of the Central Rural Work Conference, the No. 1 Central Document, and the National Agricultural Work Conference, and in accordance with the requirements of "one control, two reductions, and three fundamentals", the action of achieving zero growth in the use of chemical fertilizers has been carried out in depth, and the green development of agriculture has been accelerated. This year, the Ministry of Agriculture formulated the "Action Plan for Replacing Chemical Fertilizers with Organic Fertilizers for Fruits, Vegetables and Tea". Since then, on March 30th and June 14th, the Ministry of Agriculture held the National Promotion and Implementation Conference on Replacing Chemical Fertilizers with Organic Fertilizers for Fruits, Vegetables and Tea and Reducing the Use of Chemical Fertilizers and Pesticides while Increasing Efficiency in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, and Yichang City, Hubei Province respectively. As a core enterprise in the green production of organic fertilizers and the scientific application of formula fertilizers, Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. was invited to participate in the organic fertilizer exhibitions of the two conferences.  In 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture selected 100 key counties (cities, districts) for fruits, vegetables and tea to carry out demonstrations of replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers, striving to integrate and promote different production technology models of replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers for four major crops, and to establish a long-term mechanism for replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers for fruits, vegetables and tea. Combining its existing products, equipment and technologies, Hubei Yishizhuang has already achieved three production technology models for replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers, namely "organic fertilizers + formula fertilizers", "fruits (vegetables, tea) - biogas - livestock", and "integration of organic fertilizers and water-soluble fertilizers". 

 The combination of Hubei Yishizhuang's diversified organic fertilizers (yeast-source organic fertilizers, fulvic acid bio-organic fertilizers, compound microbial fertilizers) and special formula fertilizers based on soil testing (special fertilizers for citrus, special fertilizers for vegetables, special fertilizers for tea) has achieved the reduction of chemical fertilizers and the increase of efficiency on various types of crops such as fruits, vegetables and tea, responding to the production technology model of "organic fertilizers + formula fertilizers" for fruits, vegetables and tea. At present, in the experimental and demonstration areas such as Hubei, Hunan, Jiangxi and Shandong, the proportion of organic fertilizers replacing chemical fertilizers for fruits, vegetables and tea is approaching 20%.
