From November 7th to 10th, 2018, the "Forum on the Integration of Science and Technology and Economy - 2018 China Tea Industry Science and Technology Annual Conference", hosted by the China Association for Science and Technology and undertaken by the Chinese Society of Tea Science, was grandly held in Sanjiang County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Province. More than 1,000 experts, leaders, and colleagues in the tea industry from various provinces and cities participated in this grand event. The enthusiastic and colorful ethnic atmosphere of the Dong nationality in the local area filled the entire venue. Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., as a key cooperative unit of the Tea Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and an enterprise engaged in the research, development, and production of special fertilizers for tea, was invited to participate in this grand event.
The annual conference was carried out with the theme of "Scientific and Technological Innovation and the High-quality Development of the Tea Industry". A main venue, two sub-venues for tea science and technology, and one sub-venue for the tea economy were set up. Chen Zongmao, the honorary chairman of the Chinese Society of Tea Science and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Ruan Jianyun, the vice chairman and secretary-general of the Chinese Society of Tea Science, and many other well-known domestic experts were specially invited to give special reports, introducing the development trends of the tea industry and science and technology at home and abroad, demonstrating the innovative scientific and technological achievements in the tea industry, and analyzing the transformation and upgrading of the green development technology of the tea industry.
On the afternoon of November 8th, in the sub-venue for science and technology with the main content of "Technology Integration and Model for the Green Development of the Tea Industry", more than a dozen experts and scholars from across the country, centering on the goal of "Technology for Reducing the Application of Chemical Fertilizers and Pesticides and Increasing Efficiency in Tea Gardens", gave special reports from the perspectives of variety selection and breeding in tea gardens, cultivation models, soil improvement, nutritional needs, pest control, and mechanized production. Among them, the research responsible persons from Zhejiang, Fujian, Hubei, and Chongqing respectively analyzed and introduced the implementation situation of the technology model for reducing the application of chemical fertilizers and increasing efficiency, and especially emphasized the effect of Yishizhuang's 38% (18-8-12) and 42% (22-8-12) special fertilizers for tea in the demonstration and promotion of "Two Reductions and One Increase" for consecutive years. According to the analysis of the expert's field data report, Yishizhuang's special fertilizers for tea have achieved a reduction in chemical fertilizers, and the quality and nutrient factors such as the content of moisture, water extracts, tea polyphenols, and catechins have all increased compared with those in 2017. Both the yield and the final output value are at the forefront of the technology model.
At the exhibition and sales venue of the tea annual conference, the staff of Yishizhuang communicated and exchanged with tea industry experts, scholars, processing manufacturers, and growers from all over the country. During the communication process, we learned that currently, the soil improvement of tea gardens, the improvement of tea quality, and the creation of organic tea gardens are the key points and difficulties of their work. As a provider of tea tree nutrition, the technical staff of Yishizhuang provided corresponding solutions to the above problems respectively, and recommended the tea package fertilizer (Yishizhuang's special fertilizer for tea + Yishizhuang's bio-organic fertilizer) developed for soil improvement and nutrient enhancement to everyone. Many participants expressed their interest in the special fertilizer for tea and the bio-organic fertilizer, and they all left their contact information for future cooperation and communication.
