In the middle of May, the beautiful rapeseed flowers had already flowered and set seeds, waiting for the farmers to harvest. In the experimental base of the Yichang Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Wen'an Town, Zhijiang City, academicians, professors, grassroots agricultural technicians, and farmers gathered together to observe the "Demonstration of Green, High-Quality and High-Efficiency Production Technologies for Rapeseed". The actual yield of rapeseed in the demonstration field was accepted on-site, and the results showed that the demonstration of the integrated key technologies increased efficiency by more than 20% compared with traditional planting, and the promotion prospects were very broad.
The project "Integration and Demonstration of Green, High-Quality and High-Efficiency Production Technologies for Rapeseed" is led by Huazhong Agricultural University and implemented by the Yichang Academy of Agricultural Sciences. It integrates key technologies such as dense-tolerant and lodging-resistant excellent varieties, full-process mechanized production, high-density planting, and full-nutrient special slow-release fertilizers. Among them, the demonstration fertilizer used is the 40% special slow-release fertilizer for rapeseed produced by Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., which is compared with the local conventional fertilization.
When the observation meeting opened, the expert group delivered important speeches, and the technicians of the Yichang Academy of Agricultural Sciences introduced the key technologies of the demonstration field in detail. At the site of the observation meeting, with the rumbling operation of the harvester, the actual yield acceptance began. The expert group carefully checked the effect comparison between segmented mechanized harvesting and one-time harvesting. The technicians measured the area, weighed the rapeseed, calculated the actual yield per mu, and carefully inventoried the experimental results.
According to the on-site actual yield acceptance results, the yield comparison was obvious. The yield of using key technologies such as special slow-release fertilizers for rapeseed and mechanical segmented harvesting was the highest, and the economic benefits were obvious.
The special slow-release fertilizer for rapeseed of "Yishizhuang" is developed and supported by the team of Professor Lu Jianwei from Huazhong Agricultural University and produced by Hubei Yishizhuang Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd. Through scientific proportioning of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, addition of medium and trace elements, application of slow and controlled release technology, intake of organic nutrients and addition of soil conditioners, it can fully meet the nutrient requirements for the growth of winter rapeseed. After years of field experiments and demonstrations, the effect is obvious to all and it can be fully applied to the planting in winter rapeseed production areas. This time, as a recommended fertilization technology for rapeseed, it was integrated into the project "Integration and Demonstration of Green, High-Quality and High-Efficiency Production Technologies for Rapeseed", and it has a good synergistic effect with other supporting key technologies, promoting the stable development of rapeseed in Yichang region in a green, high-quality and high-efficiency manner.
