In the middle of May 2019, the "On-site Observation Meeting for the Green and Efficient Development of Rape" was grandly held in Wangjiang County, Anqing City, Anhui Province. It was hosted by the Oil Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Anhui Province, undertaken by the People's Government of Wangjiang County, the Yangtze River Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences - Institute of Cotton Research, and the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and co-organized by the National Rape Industry Technology System and the National Science and Technology Innovation Alliance for the Healthy Oil Industry. Yishizhuang's special slow-release fertilizer for rape, as one of the 7 core technologies of the meeting, was invited to participate in the on-site display.
Wang Hanzhong, the vice president of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Xu Fahui, the deputy director of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center, as well as leaders and experts from relevant units such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of Anhui Province, the Anhui Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Anqing City, and Wangjiang County attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Huang Fenghong, the director of the Oil Crops Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
At the site of the observation meeting, the key technology equipment demonstrations for the green, high-quality and efficient development of the entire rape industry chain were carried out, including the precise combined direct seeding technology of rape, the field operation of drones, and the segmented (combined) harvesting technology of rape. Many core technologies such as new rape varieties, new technologies, special slow-release fertilizers, green prevention and control, and efficient processing were also displayed on-site, and relevant authoritative experts gave on-site explanations. Academician Wang Hanzhong of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Director Xu Fahui of the National Agricultural Technology Extension Service Center personally visited the booth of Yishizhuang's special slow-release fertilizer for rape, learned about the special slow-release fertilizer for rape in detail and provided guidance.
Among them, Professor Lu Jianwei, a post scientist of the National Rape Industry Technology System and a technical support expert for Yishizhuang's special slow-release fertilizer for rape, introduced the technical advantages of the product in detail on-site. He emphasized that scientific fertilization not only requires a clear understanding of its principles but also needs to be truly implemented in the fields. It also avoids problems such as fertilizer leakage and inaccurate fertilizer mixing during the application process, reducing the number of fertilizations for farmers from 3-4 times to once. On the basis of full-process mechanization, it greatly saves time and labor, bringing substantial benefits to the green, high-yield and efficient development of rape. In the future, the product will continue to be improved, and tailored products will be developed according to different varieties, regions and yield levels to create more targeted products.
The expert group led by Academician Guan Chunyun conducted a yield measurement and acceptance of the rape planted in the experimental area. The yield measurement results showed that the theoretical yield per mu of rape using the new variety "Zhongyouza 19" plus 40-50 kilograms of special slow-release fertilizer for rape per mu reached 289.9 kilograms, an increase of 18.4% compared with the theoretical yield per mu of the local main promoted variety; the actual oil production per 100 kilograms was 43.5 kilograms, an increase of 20.8% compared with the local main promoted variety. According to the theoretical yield measurement and the on-site oil extraction rate, the average oil output per mu of "Zhongyouza 19" was 126.1 kilograms, an increase of 43.1% compared with the local main promoted variety. The expert group unanimously believed that after integrating efficient technologies and jointly applying Yishizhuang's special slow-release fertilizer for rape, the rape in the experimental area could reduce the application of fertilizers and pesticides by more than 20%, save costs by more than 300 yuan per mu. Through the dual use of rapeseed and oil, 250 kilograms of rape shoots could be produced per mu, and the comprehensive benefit per mu was more than 3,600 yuan, with a very prominent comparative benefit. It is understood that in order to break through the bottleneck of the development of the rape industry and improve the comprehensive benefits of rape in China, the National Rape Industry Technology System, in conjunction with relevant advantageous units, has integrated key technologies in the main rape production areas across the country. The successful holding of this on-site observation meeting of rape in Wangjiang has constructed a new economic pattern of rape in Wangjiang County, and it is also a perfect display of the combination of these 7 domestic core scientific and technological achievements in rape, strongly promoting the multifunctional development and high-yield and efficient development of rape.
