He pointed out: "The pruning of citrus trees is different from that of navel orange trees. About 30 leaves of a citrus tree are needed to nourish one fruit, while 60 leaves of a navel orange tree are required for one fruit. So, the pruning of navel orange trees must not be too severe, otherwise, it will greatly affect the yield."

"During the bud stage, shorten the medium and long branches to increase the number of twin fruits." In the fields, Teacher Yuan told the exquisite techniques in a humorous language. The on - site learning atmosphere was both relaxed and interesting, enabling the participants to quickly master the key points. At the same time, Teacher Yuan also taught the method of using the wound technique to promote fruit retention, enabling the fruit trees to better resist the invasion of diseases and pests during the growth process.
