Xiangyangs Wheat Harvest Season: Wheat Leads to Higher Yields and Better Returns

Gentle breezes wafted through the air, and wheat ears swayed gently. On May 18th, technicians from Yishizhuang arrived in Yicheng, Xiangyang, and joined forces with the general manager of Sanrenzhong Trading Company to inspect wheat fields where Yishizhuang's wheat formula fertilizer had been applied. The loud roars of dozens of combine harvesters filled the air,  a tune of a bountiful harvest, creating a scene of bustling activity.
    Zhang Wei, the general manager of Sanrenzhong, stated that more than 400 mu of land in Xiaohe Town had all been fertilized with Yishizhuang's 45% (25 - 13 - 7) wheat formula fertilizer. By and large, growers reported outstanding results. This wheat formula fertilizer has the characteristics of slow and controlled release. During the seedling stage, the wheat grew uniformly without excessive vegetative growth. The roots were well - developed, and there were numerous tillers. In the middle stage, the stems were strong and sturdy. The wheat had a high rate of heading and grain - filling. After ，comparisons showed that in the wheat fields using Yishizhuang fertilizer, the straw was thicker and sturdier, with a light green color, and the grains were plump and golden, fully demonstrating the long - lasting and high - quality effects of the fertilizer. In sharp contrast, the straw in the comparative plots appeared yellow and dehydrated.
    Among them, a 5 - mu plot was part of a standardized experimental demonstration project carried out in cooperation with the local agricultural technology extension center. The project aimed to conduct an in - depth exploration of the differences between the special fertilizer and the local conventional fertilization methods.

At the observation meeting site, Wu Yunming, Chief of the Crop Cultivation Section of Yicheng Agricultural Bureau, explained the key planting techniques for the demonstration fields: selecting high-quality varieties, applying Yishizhuang's soil testing and formula fertilizer, strengthening green pest control, and implementing efficient and high-quality technical measures. Field management adopted the "Yi Pen San Fang" (one-spray, three-prevention) approach to effectively promote increases in wheat yields.
