He has successively completed 13 national and provincial projects concerning soil fertility and fertilizer efficiency monitoring, crop formula fertilization research and product R&D, attained 9 scientific research achievements and won 6 provincial government science and technology achievement awards.He has presided over multiple projects including the academy-county cooperation project for kiwifruit industry development in Xixia County, and the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program project Ecological Enhancement Principles and Technologies for Green Yield Increase and Quality Improvement of Low- and Medium-Yield Farmland.He put forward the new concept of soil health and balanced fertilization for quality nutrition, founded the Henan Balanced Fertilization Engineering Research Center, and established innovative viewpoints on high-yield, high-quality and high-efficiency soybean cultivation.He advocates that soil and fertilizer discipline shall shift its research focus from plant nutrition to quality-oriented nutrition to comprehensively improve the quality of agricultural products, and give full play to the advantages of soil agrochemical technology in building a powerful agricultural country in the new era.
