He is mainly engaged in the research on development and industrialization of eco-friendly and high-efficiency fertilizers. He has presided over more than ten projects including National Natural Science Foundation projects, research topics under the 14th Five-Year National Key R&D Program and achievement transformation projects.He has been awarded 12 honors such as the First Prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award, the First Prize of Shandong Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, Outstanding Scientific and Technological Innovation Award of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, First Prize of DBN Science and Technology Award, Science and Technology Progress Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, and China Patent Excellence Award.He has obtained 33 authorized Chinese invention patents and 11 overseas patents in terms of new-type fertilizer products, detection methods and experimental researches, among which 25 are patented as the first inventor. He has published 10 books and over 70 academic papers, and led and participated in the formulation of 3 national standards and 10 industrial standards.
