At present, he is the director of the Department of Soil and Plant Nutrition and the director of the major of Agricultural Resources and Environment. In 2022, he was selected as one of the first batch of "Shennong Young Talents" in the country, and in 2023, he was selected as a top talent in the "Shishan Shuoyan Plan" of Huazhong Agricultural University. He is mainly engaged in the research of rice nutrition and fertilization, and the improvement of paddy field fertility. He has presided over more than 30 scientific research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, special projects of agricultural scientific research in the public welfare industry, provincial key research and development plans, and school - enterprise cooperation. He has published more than 130 papers, and edited 2 books. He has won 6 provincial and ministerial science and technology progress awards, obtained 11 national patent authorizations, and formulated 8 provincial and ministerial standards.
