1. Nutritional characteristics
Chinese cabbage types, varieties, wide adaptability, like cold and cool climate, growth temperature in the range of 10-22 degrees Celsius, the growth period is mainly vegetative growth, divided into germination period, seedling period, rosette period, spherical period, dormant period, in long sunshine and high temperature conditions into reproductive growth bolting period, flowering period and podding period. The germination period is from seed sprouting to unearthed and true leaves revealed, which takes about 3-5 days under suitable temperature and soil moisture conditions. The seedling stage is from the revelation of true leaves to the development of 5-8 leaves to form the first leaf ring. 5 leaves occur in the seedling stage of early varieties, which takes about 12-15 days, and 8 leaves occur in the seedling stage of late varieties, which takes about 17-18 days. Rosette stage is when two leaf rings form rosette after the end of the seedling stage. In this period, the early varieties take about 20-21 days, and the late varieties take about 27-28 days. The nodulation period is from the beginning of the heart leaf to the formation of the leaf ball, about 25-30 days for early varieties, about 50 days for late varieties; The dormancy phase is when the leaf ball is forced into dormancy due to the cooling of the climate.
2, need fertilizer characteristics
The growth period of Chinese cabbage is long, the yield is high, and the nutrient demand is great. The pure nitrogen (N) is 1.8-2.6kg, phosphorus (P2O5) is 1-1.2kg, and potassium (K2O) is 3.2-3.7kg for every 1000kg of Chinese cabbage produced.
The nutrient absorption was less in seedling stage, increased significantly in rosette stage, and most in pericardial stage. Adequate nitrogen nutrition was of great significance in promoting the formation of hypertrophic green leaves and improving photosynthetic efficiency. Phosphorus fertilizer promoted the differentiation of leaf primordium and increased the number of outer leaves and spherical leaves. Sufficient potassium fertilizer can promote the transport of photosynthetic products to leaf balls and enrich the leaf balls of Chinese cabbage.
In addition to nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, Chinese cabbage also needs calcium, boron and other elements, calcium deficiency will cause Chinese cabbage "dry heartburn", marginal rot; The inner tissue of the petiole of Chinese cabbage with boron deficiency often became woody and changed from brown to black brown, and the leaf edges died and the nodulation was poor. 3. Fertilization technology
It is recommended to apply 6% organic fertilizer (1-1-4, 45) 50kg+ 35% vegetable fertilizer (18-5-12) 90-100kg per mu.
For areas with high yield requirements, it is recommended to apply 50kg (9-2-4, 25) of whole-grain bio-organic fertilizer (15%) + 35%special vegetable fertilizer (18-5-12) 80-90kg per mu.
Spreading should be combined with ploughing into the soil or furrow covering.
